It was October 2006 when Freshpet started making fresh, real foods for pets. Now almost a decade later, we’re proud to say that we’re feeding more than 1 million healthy dogs and cats all over the United States. At Freshpet, our number one priority is feeding pets fresh, healthy foods just like what we eat. So, we use fresh meats and produce to make delicious meals in a way that doesn't harm the earth. It is because of this, that we’ve built a community of loving pet parents and happy pets.   Our fans constantly leave us smiling, laughing, and in some instances feeling moved to tears. We’re so proud to have such an animal-loving, dedicated community sharing with us their pets special moments, the issues they care most about, and their love of our foods and treats. Here are a few of our favorite posts from a few of our Freshpet Facebook fans. We hope that they make you smile:

Scooter’s story shared on Freshpet Facebook is heartwarming. Loved it. He is such a cutie pie. I am thinking to start Freshpet food for my dog Sting after reading some good reviews. Let’s hope he likes it and it goes well for him !.

Year by year they get older but their brains never seem to progress from the puppy stage. Basil and Ozzy restrict their antics to short bursts now instead of full on days. Every single moment that I have with my dogs is special; I think that they concentrate their love because their time being on this world is very short compared to ours.

Just this week our girl, 6 yrs., came in with a pair of my son's socks. She was so proud of herself. I asked her if she was feeling particularly bloodhoundy and went back to what I was doing. She gently placed the socks at my feet and went about her business.

Harley hits my door with her paw every morning when her mom is in the shower. Usually at 5 am. I go to the den and love her ...getting lots of kisses until she hears the bathroom door open. She then gets on her bed and pretends to be she has no idea how maw maw woke up. Funny dog.

Hello all Freshpet fans out there. I love my Wally and there's a piece of Wally in my heart. He fought valiantly for a normal life but his sweet life was taken far too young. If you pointed your finger at her she would bite down on it. (not hard). I still remember, Wally use to steals paper towel any chance she gets! We can't even get mad anymore - we just had to laugh!

I have lost two Bassets and five Bloodhounds in forty five years. I still love and miss them all. You never forget them. I lost my puppy, Caccia, a year ago at the end of October. She was only four. Her brothers and sisters will be five on the 27th October, but not Caccia.

Hi, Fresh Pet Facebook fans My little black boy, Magilla Gorilla, always slept with his head on the pillow. The head of the bed was under a window and he always wanted it opened. If the curtains were closed, he would stand and stare at the curtains until I opened them and the window... even if it was 20f outside. I would open the window and he would rest his chin on the window sill for a couple of minutes... then he would settle in with his head on the pillow and I could close the window for the night. Whenever I would him to my Nana's house he would always run towards the closet to get his treats. If the closet door and bag were left open, he would overdue it. So we make sure the bag and closet were close after he got his treat.

I just subscribed to freshpet facebook. Can someone please help me locating stores near Pleasanton Texas. I wasn’t able to find out in local Market, probably they were out of stock. Thanks.

I have my dogs on freshpet food and it has helped rid my allergy ridden dog of all his itchies. Sometimes I mix the food with veggies and brown rice and they love it. Much cheaper than this prepared stuff. If you don't have a grinder, just get a cleaver and chop each quarter into 4-5 pieces. They LOVE to chew the bones and raw bones don't splinter.

Some dogs need certain ingredients in their diet if they have sensitive stomachs and my dog is one of them. I tried Freshpet and it worked well for him. Never switch their foods immediately, you need to do it gradually or they will get very sick. I recommend to take them to a vet for regular checkups. Try soaking the kibble in water before feeding...this makes it more digestible.

Our dog had severe digestive problems, colitis, wheat allerigies and all sorts when he came to us. We feed him Fresh Pet grain free turkey and I give him baked potato with veggies once a day too. His digestion is great now and he hasn't had any problems for months and months. It takes a while for them to build up the bacteria in their gut after colitis, so feeding things like natural yoghurt can help with that. I also used canned pumpkin whenever he was bad, mixed in to his Freshpet beef with lamb food. Thank you Fresh Pet.
