As a volunteer with DDRTX, I can tell you that we are making a difference. We strive every day to not only intake the many dachshunds in need here in Texas, but also to help rehabilitate them mentally and physically, which can be heart-wrenching and expensive at times. We then find them the perfect match home that will keep them safe, give them the FRESH START they deserve, and love them for the rest of their lives. However, we go way beyond beyond that with a promise to our dogs: if for whatever reason circumstances change in their humans' lives, the dogs will always be welcome back as a Diamond Dachshund dog. We will always take our dogs back and help them find a new home should any problems arise in their home-- in 6 months or in 10 years. We love our dogs and we truly feel that once you are a Diamond Dachshund, you are always a Diamond Dachshund. We believe that everyone dog deserves a FRESH START no matter what the circumstances might've been for their past.... and we aim to give them exactly what they deserve.
