Husky House has rescued thousands of dogs from kill shelters, puppy mills and owner surrenders. We are committed to the rescue, shelter, care and adoption of these unwanted dogs. We generally adopt out over 200 dogs a year. All of our dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered and microchipped. Recently, we have taken over an 11 acre property that needs a lot of work. We plan on using the property as a sanctuary for dogs who are not adoptable to the general public. Recently, as people have been returning to work, adoptions have slowed down and many are looking to surrender dogs. Having this extra property become usable would enable us to keep more dogs out of the local kill shelters. Our vet bills currently range at approximately $90,000 and due to the pandemic, we were unable to hold any adoption events or fundraisers, which usually help us generate funds. We are completely volunteer run and all money taken in goes towards our current facility and vet care for the dogs. Winning this would be so amazing!
