Human Foods Pets Can Enjoy

By: Karina Delaine

At Freshpet, we are all in on cooking for our pets when we have the time. Often, our favorite recipes are inspired by the foods we love to eat. And while many of the ingredients we use in our meals are healthy for our pets too, some can be dangerous to feed. So before you step into the kitchen to whip up a treat or add some human food to your pet’s bowl, here’s a list to consult brought to us by our friend Dr. Katy Nelson.

  1. My dog Sefton loves the chicken Fresh Pet; or Vet has said this is also a great food for him . He’s 11 years old and starting to slow down.. thank you for making a food that he likes! Wish you could dehydrate this so when traveling it’s an option to take on trips and not worry about keeping it cold.

  2. My Shih Tzu had a terribly compromised digestive system regardless of whatever brand she was fed.
It about a year that she’s been on Fresh Pet food, chicken and turkey mix. She is doing very well on it AND loves it.
    We thank you very much!!!!!!!
