    Oct 24, 2016 by Teri

Molly, my Terrier, will not eat dry food. I have tried everything even canned, but to no avail. The I saw Freshpet roll, and now that is all she will eat! I am happy because it is so good for her!
    Thank you Freshpet!

  • Boston Terrier loves Freshpet!

    Jun 09, 2016 by B

We adopted Roxy from the Boston Terrier rescue and she was put up for adoption for her “spitting up” habits. We tried tons of different foods. Multiple vets told us it’s a typical trait for short nosed dogs and get used to it.

We continued to try different options, even making her food which helped some. When we switched to Freshpet grain free she was like a different pup. More energy and she keeps her food down. She no longer plays with her food, she gobbles it up. Her dandruff has cleared up, no more eye boogies, her coat is thicker and she is now a healthy weight.

  • Help with Irratable Bowel Syndrom (IBS) for our toy poodle

    Apr 28, 2015 by Ward

Just a note to thank you for coming up with your Freshpet dog food (chunky beef flavor). We have a 15 yer old toy poodle that has been suffering with irritable bowel syndrome for most of her life. She will eat ok for a while and then she just stops eating, has problems with her bowels, begins to throw up a thick white mucus and then her intestines begin to make noises that can be heard across the room. The only answer the vet has was to give her peptomisol. After almost a day after giving her the pepto, she will finally begin to eat again. Sometimes, if we just left her alone for a while without anything, she would eventually get better and begin to eat. This got to a point where this was happening about every week or 10 days. We finally went to another vet who changed her food from Science Diet canned C/D to Royal Canine canned for sensitive stomachs and then also gave us a steroid liquid which we would give her 1/2 cc when her stomach started to make the noise and she would stop eating. This would work in about 3 hours and she was fine until until she stopped eating again which has gotten to be about once a week now. We would put pieces of beef roast on the canned food and she might eat the meat but not the canned meat. And the steroid got to a point where she would eat great for about a week and then we would have to give it to her again to get her to eat.

We became desperate since she was loosing weight (from 11 lbs down to 9 lbs). I had seen your product in the refrigerator at our Ingles Market here in Hiawassee so I suggested to my wife that we try it to see if she would eat that. I got a 1.5 lb package of the chunky beef about a month ago to try her. And praise the Lord, she loves it and has not had another episode of not eating in at least a month when before getting your food, as I said, we were having to give her the steroid at least once a week.

Praise God for you and your food. She is getting to a point where she begs for your food at each meal. The only problem is that she does not have many teeth anymore so that when she eats, her saliva runs out of her mouth and is staining the fur around her mouth a deep brown color but we can live with this just as long as she is eating so well and not having the noisy intestines any more.

    Very truly yours

  • Six and More

I have adopted several dogs from the humane society, and also, rescued and fostered several dogs especially after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. At one time I had fourteen dogs and only four of them were mine. Living in the country people have a habit of abandoning their dogs and cats in our area, so I feed them. It got very expensive for me and my husband, we are both retired. I would feed them boiled chicken, chicken livers, and a brand of dry dog food. But as most them got older it was hard for them to eat the dry dog food. I was at Walmart and found your product Freshpet in the large tube. I started feeding the older dogs this product and they would bark at me when I was preparing their dishes, they got very excited and dove into the food. Though most of the older dogs have past away throughout the years, I still have one that I rescued during Katrina, her name is Gracey Mae and she is thirteen years old, she still barks at me for her Freshpet. The other dogs range in age of four to eight years old, and all of them are Shih Tzues, except Kiri-Anne she is a Lasapoo, but all them love your product. I was hoping maybe you could lower the price of the larger tube, again it can be hard on those with a fixed income.

  • The only food my doggie likes!

    Feb 17, 2015 by BonBon

I adopted BonBon when he was 4 years old. The shelter told me his previous owner was feeding him bad quality food and he was chubby. The shelter gave me some dried food for him to eat, which he refused. I tried all kind of dog food; dry; canned; and even cooked for him. All he would do is watch me eat my food and beg. For years, I tried everything I coukd think of. He was known among friends and family to be the pickiest! He would only eat whatever i ate and when i cooked him chicken breast. I was worried he was not getting required nutrients. His skin became flakey, his fur was dull, and he was chubby. Then i found Freshpet at my grocery store. I bought some for my pup to try and he LOVED it!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! Now, years later, he’s active, fit, with the most luxurious coat and healthy teeth. At 12, my dog is finally happy and healthy. Thank you!!!

  • Happy Healthy Dog

My dog, Padma, a 10 year old Schipperke LOVES Freshpet! Padma is being treated for arthritis and Pemphigus (an autoimmune disease) and has been on steroids in the past and now on cyclosprorine. Padma has never been motivated by food. I would provide different dog foods for him and even cook for him. But he always grew tired of what I was feeding him. Every couple of weeks, it was a different food or a different combination of foods. I then found Freshpet! WOW…Padma loves the Freshpet Select line. He tried the FP Select Roast Meals first. I was amazed at how good it smelled, the fresh pieces of chicken. After that success, we tried the slice and serve rolls – another hit. He especially likes the chicken, spinach and potato. And of course, it goes to follow that Padma also loves the Homestyle Tubs. Sometimes, I will even “mix” some of the foods together or add some of the roasted meal to the Homestyle Tubs. Padma always “finishes his plate”. He now knows the sound when I take the food out of the fridge and open or cut the wrappers. He sits by his placemat because he knows he is getting something wonderfully good! I have been able to maintain a more healthy weight for him – which is better for his arthritis. He is even able to jump on the sofa again! Thank you Freshpet – you have a solid canine gastronome with Padma.
