  • Hudson acts like a puppy thanks to Freshpet

    Feb 09, 2017 by Hudson's Dad

Our dog Hudson has been eating Freshpet for most of his life. He absolutely loves the taste, and I believe it has helped him look and act much younger than his 11.75 years. People say all the time how young he looks, and they can’t believe he’s almost 12. I want him to live to infinity, so he will always be a Freshpet dog!

  • Hand fed dogs

    Jun 11, 2015 by Pam

I started a terrible habit of hand feeding our shih tzu starting at 5 weeks because she wouldn’t eat. Eight years later she still insisted on being hand fed barking at you until she got what she wanted. My husband and I tried everything to get her to eat from a bowl. I was in Whole Foods and bought a roll of the Nature fresh Salmon and tried it that night. She loved it and now eats on her own.

  • Raw?

    Sep 19, 2013 by showdogmom

The only complaint I have, and it really isn’t much of a complaint, is that it was impossible to tell if this was a raw food or a cooked food. I wish the label clearly stated what it was. I much prefer “raw” over cooked food for my dogs, and wish that this company offered raw versions of their products.

  • Freshpet has been wonderful for my new puppy!

    May 10, 2013 by Lisa

With a lot of research I found this product to be the top dog food for my new puppy. She loves this product and it has supported her growth real well. She is lean with great muscle mass. Her vet even says so. The only regret I have is that I can not find it in the 5 lb. packaging. I hope to see the 5 lb. size sometime soon.

This recipe is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for all life stages.

Depending on the age, activity level, and condition of your dog, the feeding guidelines will need to be adjusted. The normal daily feeding amount for a healthy adult dog:

Dog’s Weight Amount to Feed Per Day (in Pounds)
5-20 lbs 1/4 -1/2
21-40 lbs 1/2- 1
41-60 lbs 1 – 1 1/4
61-100 lbs 1 1/4 – 1 2/3
*Add 1/4 LB for each 25 LBS beyond 100 LBS

For pregnant or lactating females, offer two to three times the normal adult requirement. For puppies, feed up to twice the normal adult requirement from four to fourteen months of age in two to three feedings. The above quantities can be fed as one meal or divided into two meals based on your dog’s preference. When switching foods, gradually increase the new food and decrease the previous food to help make a smooth transition.

Always provide fresh water.
